We are seeking a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 Tanker Driver to join our growing team based in Scunthorpe, supporting an ongoing water utility contract. The successful candidate will have previous experience working within the utilities or water industry and will play a key role in delivering drainage and liquid waste services safely and efficiently across operational sites.
Key Responsibilities- Drive and operate a range of Specialist Vacuum tankers following appropriate training.
- Support ongoing water utility operations, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with client requirements.
- Respond to emergency call-outs involving sewer blockages, flooding, pollution incidents, and drainage issues.
- Carry out the collection, transportation, and safe disposal of controlled and liquid waste in compliance with all environmental regulations.
- Adhere to all statutory health, safety, environmental, and company procedures.
- Conduct daily pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections to ensure operational compliance and roadworthiness.
- Accurately complete job sheets, compliance paperwork, and digital reporting systems.
- Ensure all PPE and equipment are maintained in good working condition and used appropriately.
- Work collaboratively with operational teams and assist with additional duties when required.
- Valid HGV Class 2 Licence (Class 1 advantageous)
- No more than 6 penalty points
- Valid Driver CPC Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience within the utilities or water industry is essential
- Tanker experience is advantageous; full training can be provided
- High-pressure water jetting experience desirable
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations
