We are working with a client who has an enviable reputation producing high quality fabrications with a quick, efficient turnaround and delivering outstanding levels of customer service and have been established for over 30 years. We are recruiting for an experienced Works Manager to join this business in Stockport.
Key Skills required of the Works Manager:
- Must have at least 4+ years working experience as a Welder Fabricator
- Must have at least 3 years working experience in a supervisory role, experience in building, mentoring, and supervising welding teams
- Strong knowledge of Steel/Aluminium Fabrication is required
- Fabricate and Weld to Drawing (As Required)
- Inspection experience
- The ideal Works Manager will be a strong link between the Management Team and Workshop
- Must have ability to organise/prioritise workload
- Ability to enforce Good Workshop Practices and Company Policies
- Experience in General Workshop Activities
The successful Works Manager will be very hands-on in the place of work, someone who will be happy to work in the workshop as required, weld when required etc. Someone who is hard working, self-driven, wants to succeed, problem solver, conscientious and ambitious.
In return, our client is offering a very good basic salary, free onsite parking, pension and other benefits to be confirmed.
Working Hours - Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 17:00 (Some Flexibility)
