We are working with a key client, founded in 1960, who is a leader in high and low-pressure cartridge valves, reducing stations, and manifolds for critical and demanding applications. They are currently recruiting for an experienced Service Engineer / Supervisor to join their business in Oldham.

Key Skills required of the Service Engineer / Supervisor:

  • Proven experience in Service Management, Aftermarket Support, Maintenance or Technical Operations within engineering or manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical assemblies, preferably valves, manifolds or fluid/gas systems.
  • Experience developing or scaling a service or aftermarket function.
  • Demonstrated commercial capability including pricing, forecasting and cost-centre management.
  • Strong process development and operational improvement capability.
  • Experience implementing traceability, QA and compliance systems is required.
  • Some experience of managing would be an advantage.
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ideally from an industrial background.
  • Minimum HNC/HND qualified.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience within defence, nuclear, maritime or regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and regulated quality environments.
