We are working with a well-developed company who have a focused manufacturing capability based on CNC technology. In addition to traditional standalone machining centres, they have 6 sliding head CNC lathes that allow complete production of finished components from raw bar material. We are recruiting for an experienced Production Leader to join them in their facility in Rotherham.
Key skills required of the Production Leader:
- Must have at least 12 months experience in a supervisory role
- The Production Leader must have experience with CNC Turner and CNC Milling
- Experience as a Setter Operator will be required
- Ability to write programs from drawings - at a high level of competence
- Some experience of managing small teams
- Ability to run and meet schedules, keep the shift moving, employees motivated etc.
- Experience of medium to high volume engineering background
- Experience of cutting a variety of materials - from basic carbon plate, Nicol, duplex etc.
The successful Production Leader will be very hands-on and will be managing a team of 6 employees. This is a full-time permanent position working the late afternoon shift only. In return, my client is offering an excellent hourly rate inclusive of shift allowance, free on-site parking and other benefits to be confirmed.
Shift: 14:30 - 23:00 Mon - Thursday, 13:00 - 20:30 Friday. Overtime is paid at 1.5 x total rate (on both basic + bonus).
