Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Setter Operator to join their business in Herford.

Key Skills required of the CNC Setter Operator:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience of working in a machining environment.
  • Apprentice trained or engineering college educated.
  • Ability to set and operate CNC lathes and milling machines.
  • Be able to read technical drawings.
  • Experience of working to tight tolerances.
  • Ability to inspect own work.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and to manage conflicting demands on time and resources to deliver objectives.
  • Using lifting equipment to load & unload components.
  • Ensure quality of work is accurate, thorough and neat.
  • Ability to produce a significant volume of work efficiently in a specified period of time.
  • Demonstrate initiative, adaptability and willingness to learn.

The successful CNC Setter Operator will have experience of setting and operating CNC lathes and milling machines. Ideally, they will have a good understanding of Fanuc controlled systems.
