The Role
Our client is now looking to appoint a Technical Sales Engineer to support ongoing growth and strengthen relationships with both customers and suppliers. This role is ideal for someone with a hands-on engineering background who enjoys combining technical knowledge with customer interaction. You will act as a key technical point of contact, advising on tooling solutions, understanding customer requirements, and helping to drive sales through expertise and trust.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven technical background in CNC machining (milling, drilling, turning etc.)
- Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling applications
- Experience dealing with customers and suppliers, ideally in a face-to-face environment
- Confident communicator with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Proactive, motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing business
- Commercial awareness with a customer-focused mindset
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical sales support for smart tooling solutions
- Engage with customers face to face to understand machining requirements and recommend appropriate solutions
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure technical accuracy and delivery
- Demonstrate strong understanding of machining processes, including CNC milling, drilling, and turning
- Support business development activities through technical input and relationship building
- Maintain a professional, consultative approach with customers at all times
