We are working with a key client who is part of the global $7.2 billion publicly listed Corporation. They are a class-leading supplier and highly trusted brand within the aerospace industry, manufacturing precision gear splined and threaded components for key clients including Rolls Royce, Eaton, Collins Aerospace, Safran Power Systems, Meggitt and many more. We are now recruiting very experienced CNC Turners to join this business.
Key skills required of the CNC Turner:
- Must have over 3 years working experience as a CNC Turner
- Proven experience in CNC Turning within aerospace or other high-precision sectors
- CAD/CAM familiarity is a plus, but not essential
- Apprenticeship trained or qualified by experience
- Comfortable working to tight tolerances
- Skilled in setting and operating CNC machines with Fanuc controls
Responsibilities:
- Set and operate CNC Turning machines (Fanuc controls) to tight aerospace tolerances
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization (6S)
- Accurately record job timings in the ERP system
- Work with premium materials: Stainless Steel, Titanium, Inconel, Aluminium, Nylon
You will be part of a great team, working within a clean environment, producing high precision parts and components for the Aerospace industry. The nature of the work is small to medium batch with medium to high complexity. The primary focus of this position is to work with the Milling and Turning teams to drive safety, quality and delivery, exceeding our customerβs expectations.
Shift: 3:30pm β 11pm (Monday β Thursday), 12:30pm β 9:30pm (Fridays)
Extra: Uplift to time and a third for hours worked after 7:00 PM.
