We are working with a well-developed company who have a focused manufacturing capability based on CNC technology. In addition to traditional standalone machining centres, they have 6 sliding head CNC lathes that allow complete production of finished components from raw bar material. We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller Setter/Operator to join them in their facility in Rotherham.

Key skills required of the CNC Miller Setter/Operator:

  • The CNC Miller must have over 6 years working experience as a CNC Miller
  • Experience as a Setter mainly is required and some Operating
  • Must have hands-on Programming experience or excellent Setter Operator
  • Ability to write programmes from drawings - at a high level of competence
  • Must have experience of Fanuc controls
  • This role will be suited to a CNC Miller with Medium to high volume engineering background
  • Experience of cutting a variety of materials - from basic carbon plate, Nicol, duplex etc.

The successful CNC Miller Setter/Operator will be working for a forward-moving organisation who like to reinvest in the business and their people. In return, my client is offering an excellent hourly rate inclusive of shift allowance and a bonus scheme of 6% of basic rate upon successful completion of the agreed probationary period.

Shift Patterns:

  • Shift 1: 06.30-15:00 Monday - Thursday, 06.30-14:00 Friday
  • Shift 2: 14.30-23:00 Mon - Thursday, 13:00-20:30 Friday

Overtime is paid at 1.5 x total rate (on both basic + bonus).
