Our client is an internationally recognised leader in the design, development and manufacture for the polymer industry. Their facilities include research and development, laboratory testing, engineering and design, state of the art machining and fabrication, assembly, quality control and aftermarket customer services. We are recruiting for an experienced Production Engineer to join this business.

Responsibilities:

  • Must have 5 years experience working in a Production / Manufacturing Engineering position.
  • Experience of working in a technical/engineering environment - medium to heavy engineering is required.
  • Knowledge of hard surface welding methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Some experience of SolidWorks 3D Modelling.
  • Some project management skills will be required.
  • Experience of creating BOMs and routings.
  • Experience of preparation of costings for intercompany production.
  • Some experience of lean principles, waste reduction, efficiency improvements, process flow, etc.

Education:

  • Formal technical qualification - craft/technician level machining-biased apprenticeship up to HNC/HND level in Mechanical/Production Engineering.

The successful Production Engineer will report to the Production Engineering Manager. The role of Production Engineer provides a support function to all areas of production within the organisation. In return, our client is offering an excellent basic salary, free onsite parking, company events and other benefits to be confirmed.

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:30, Friday 08:00 - 14:00, 37.5 hour week.
