CNC Shift Team Lead
We are working with a well-developed company who have a focused manufacturing capability based on CNC technology.
In addition to traditional standalone machining centres, they have 6 sliding head CNC lathes that allow complete production of finished components from raw bar material.
We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Shift Team Leader to join them in their facility in Rotherham.
Key skilled required of the CNC Shift Team Leader
- The CNC Shift Team Leaders must have experience with CNC Turner or CNC Milling
- A minimum of 10 years relevant programming and machineshop experience
- A minimum 3 years supervisory
- Experience as a Setter Operator will be required
- Confident of working on medium to high volume batch work and fully skilled to program, set and operate CNC machining centres with driven tools.
- Must be fully competent with all types of inspection equipment to verify component quality.
- Experience of medium to high volume engineering background
- Must lead by example.
- A time served apprentice with a wide range of engineering experience.
- Pro-active team player with good inter-personal and motivational skills.
- The ability to communicate at all levels, not afraid to challenge the status quo and deliver a positive change.
- Experience of working with robots/automation
The successful CNC Shift Lead will be very hands on and will act as a technical authority for the shift.
You will participate in and contribute to effective Production Meetings etc.
This is full time permanent position and working the late afternoon shift only.
In return my client are offering excellent hourly rate inclusive of shift allowance, free on site park and other benefits to be confirmed.

- Mon-Fri – 6am-2pm (40 hours)
- Mon- Thur – 2pm-12am (40 hours)
- 6% bonus eligible after probation
