Quest Search & Selection is looking for a Senior Product Developer to lead the development, sourcing, and timely delivery of a commercially successful and sustainable womenswear range that aligns with the company’s goals. The company is partnering with an eCommerce DTC womenswear brand renowned for its vibrant extensive range and sustainable values. The business partners with smaller factories in Europe to deliver quality and style within a quicker timeframe.
Role & Responsibilities of this Senior Product Developer role:
- Product & Range Strategy: Develop and maintain a customer-focused, commercially viable range based on market trends and supplier insights. Collaborate with teams across design, merchandising, and technical to align the range with brand, quality, and profitability goals. Continuously evaluate performance and adapt strategies to improve range efficiency and results.
- Range Presentation & Communication: Present seasonal product ranges effectively, highlighting key features and sales potential.
- Supplier & Sourcing Management: Build strong supplier relationships and negotiate optimal prices without compromising on quality or timelines. Identify sourcing opportunities and streamline supplier performance and production routes.
- Workflow & Timelines Oversight: Manage the product lifecycle through accurate critical path planning and proactive issue resolution.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead cross-functional collaboration for successful product launches across various channels.
Qualifications Required for this Senior Product Developer role:
- Strong knowledge of the UK women’s fashion or soft accessories market.
- Experience at Buyer level or above, with a successful track record of developing and growing women’s apparel ranges.
- Has a strong Supplier or Retail background with a mix of design, technical, and buying responsibilities.
- Expertise in fabrics, garment construction, range planning, and end-to-end buying.
- Have led a smaller team whether in PD, Buying, Tech or Design.
- Skilled in negotiating with suppliers to secure cost-effective, on-time product delivery and comfortable with multi-product categories.
- Highly commercial mindset with the ability to work at pace and independently.
