Senior Buying Manager

Quest Search & Selection are currently looking for a Senior Buying Manager – Household Cleaning Products. Here you will be responsible to lead the category, delivering top-quality products at competitive prices for UK consumers. You\’ll develop supplier relationships, shape category strategy, and drive growth in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

The roles and responsibilities of this Senior Buying Manager – Household Cleaning Products role:

• Lead the buying and sales activity for the Household, Laundry & cleaning products category. This category will include (but not exhaustive) Detergents, Sprays, wipes, polishes, cloths/scourers. bleach, washing powder/ capsules & conditions and stain removers .
• Analyse key metrics and identify sourcing gaps to derive strategies on how to improve supplier and category performance.
• Business development with brands and suppliers, bringing the leading brands on board.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
• Negotiate pricing and cost efficiencies, validate fees, and ensure accurate data maintenance.
• Curate and select category-specific products that align with consumer demand and usage scenarios.
• Collaborate with international supply chain teams to secure necessary resources and support.

Qualifications required for this Senior Buying Manager Homecare and Cleaning role:

• 4 -7 + year experience within buying /category management, ideally operating at a senior or manager level.
• Expensive category, Merchandising or Buying experience within Household & Laundry categories as mentioned above.
• Deep understanding of consumers, with strong market insights and proven purchasing expertise.
• You must come from a retail, eCommerce, Marketplace or Supplier background with strong knowledge of the UK market within this category
• Exceptional analytical abilities, data sensitivity, and logical thinking.
• Highly driven, innovative, team-oriented, and committed to aligning personal contributions with organisational goals.

• Salary between £70,000 – £90,000
