Quest Search & Selection are working with a leading UK retail brand to recruit a Senior Ecommerce Trading Manager to take ownership of onsite trading performance across multiple digital platforms. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for driving commercial performance across all ecommerce touchpoints, ensuring that trading activity, onsite experience and digital execution work together to deliver sustainable revenue growth.
You will lead a small trading team and play a central role in shaping how products are presented, promoted, and optimised online, balancing commercial priorities with customer experience and brand integrity. Working closely with Buying, Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations teams, you will ensure trading plans are aligned across stock, demand and campaign activity to maximise performance across peak and non-peak trading periods.
- Ecommerce Trading, Sales & Forecasting
- Own and deliver online sales performance across all digital channels
- Develop and manage forecasting models and trading plans to support short, medium and long-term performance
- Lead day-to-day trading activity across onsite platforms, ensuring commercial priorities are executed effectively
- Manage promotional activity and trading events, ensuring accuracy, timing and commercial alignment
- Support peak trading periods with structured planning, scenario modelling and post-event analysis
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align stock availability, marketing activity and trading execution
- Own onsite trading execution, ensuring products, categories and campaigns are optimised for performance
- Manage the trading and content calendar across all digital touchpoints
- Optimise onsite customer journeys, balancing conversion performance with brand storytelling

Advanced Excel capability and strong experience using ecommerce analytics tools. Experience with ecommerce merchandising or trading platforms. Understanding of product lifecycle, stock flow, or retail operations. Experience working in multi-category or multi-brand retail environments. Strong sense of ownership and accountability for commercial outcomes. Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure trading environments.
