Quest Search & Selection are looking for a Senior Accounts Supervisor; the role is to manage more complex accounting and administrative tasks to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of accounts for the UK & Ireland business. The role also acts as the first point of escalation for non-routine queries and provides support and guidance to junior team members. The company is rapidly growing, bringing both global brands and local favourites to millions of customers every year. With recent major wins and significant new store launches planned next year, with travel & centre retailing, now is an exciting time to join the team.

Responsibilities as a Senior Accounts Supervisor include:

  • Perform bank postings, reconciliations, and resolve outstanding queries.
  • Process supplier invoices, payments, and supplier reconciliations, ensuring accurate coding, VAT treatment, and approvals.
  • Raise customer invoices and credit notes, allocate receipts, and support credit control activities.
  • Support audits, month-end processes, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain finance records, including supplier, customer, fixed asset, and ledger data.
  • Act as an escalation point for finance queries and support the training and development of junior team members.
  • Assist with process improvements and provide cover for the Accounting Manager.

To be successful in this position of Senior Accounts Supervisor you must have:

  • Ideally having minimum 5 years + experience in accounts/finance administration, with a proven track record of increasing responsibility.
  • Experience processing high volumes of complex invoices.
  • Strong understanding of multi-currency transactions.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • SAP experience is advantageous.
  • Experience reviewing work and providing support or guidance to junior finance team members is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, invoicing, and reconciliations.
  • Proficient in Excel, including use of filters, lookups, and pivot tables (desirable).
