Quest Search and Selection is currently partnering with a retail e-commerce platform, with operations in the UK & Europe and currently growing their non-food category team! Their advanced technology offers fast and reliable delivery services, within hours or by the next day. With 1st class supply chain at its core & cutting-edge digital solutions, this business is renowned for its innovation and excellence, all within a start-up culture.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Buying Manager – AV & Entertainment, working within categories such as Speakers, Headphones & Earbuds, Televisions, Monitors, Projectors & Screens etc.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Built and managed strong supplier relationships to ensure access to high-quality, competitive product offerings.
  • Product assortment, providing the best selection of items for consumers at the best price.
  • Lead purchasing and sales activity for the product category, including Speakers, Headphones & Earbuds, Televisions, Monitors, Projectors & Screens etc.
  • Developed and execute category strategies for high-SKU-count ranges.
  • Business development with brands and suppliers, bringing the leading brands on board and exclusive promotions.
  • Analyse category and supplier performance using key metrics to identify sourcing gaps and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Negotiate pricing and cost efficiencies to enhance gross profit margins.
  • Collaborated closely with international supply chain teams to ensure resource availability and operational alignment.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally having experience as Category, Senior Category Buying, Senior Buying or Head of Buying.
  • Strong category or buying experience within retail or eCommerce.
  • 8 – 10 + years’ experience.
  • Passion for their category & can really own, develop & execute the end-to-end range.
  • Experience in consumer electronics or related categories mentioned.
  • Deep understanding of consumers, with strong market insights and proven purchasing expertise.
  • Established supplier relationships within the household appliance network in the UK.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities and logical thinking.
