Quest Search & Selection is currently recruiting for a Field Trainer - Retail to design and deliver impactful leadership and behavioural training across a multi-site retail environment. This role will support managers and store colleagues through the wider transformation of both the customer experience and employee journey, helping to drive engagement, capability, and performance across the business. Quest Search and Selection is partnering with a premium retail organisation operating across both store and digital channels, known for delivering high-quality customer experiences.

Duties & Responsibilities for this Field Trainer - Retail role:

  • Deliver engaging leadership and people-skills training across store and field teams, with a focus on coaching, performance management, customer experience, and behavioural development.
  • Facilitate both virtual and face-to-face workshops to drive consistency in service standards, leadership capability, and ways of working across the retail network.
  • Provide in-store coaching, feedback, and follow-up support to help embed new behaviours and learning outcomes following training delivery.
  • Support wider customer experience and operational transformation initiatives and training requirements across multiple stores and regions.
  • Work closely with the People and Learning & Development teams to continuously improve training content, share field insights, and support behavioural, product, and brand training initiatives.
  • Monitor training participation and effectiveness, providing regular updates on delivery, engagement levels, emerging trends, and ongoing development needs across the business.

To be successful in this Field Trainer - Retail role:

  • Experience within a multi-site environment, ideally retail, hospitality, leisure, or other customer-facing sectors.
  • 2–3+ years’ experience within Retail Training, Field Training, Learning & Development, or Regional People-focused roles, with a strong emphasis on leadership capability and behavioural development.
  • Proven ability to facilitate engaging training sessions, workshops, and coaching programmes, with the confidence to influence, support, and challenge leaders where appropriate.
  • Strong understanding of Learning & Development principles including training needs analysis, programme development, and delivering engaging learning solutions through both digital and interactive formats.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, comfortable managing a field-based role with regular travel and multiple site responsibilities.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

The role will involve being in the field up to 3 days per week, covering locations from Edinburgh to Nottingham, with a strong focus on city-centre locations including Manchester, Leeds, and Liverpool. Head Office is based in London. Driving is preferred but not essential, and all travel expenses to stores and Head Office will be fully covered.
