The role of Lease & Estates Manager - Retail is to lead lease negotiations and rent reviews, ensure compliance with lease obligations, and work closely with Senior Management and Directors to align property strategy with broader business objectives. This role reports to the director of Estates.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of retail properties, overseeing all day-to-day property management activities.
- Monitor lease key dates, including rent reviews and renewals, ensuring timely and effective action.
- Resolve landlord and tenant disputes efficiently, minimising disruption and cost to the business.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all property-related matters across the business.
- Ensure compliance with landlord lease obligations, particularly in relation to repairs and maintenance.
- Take responsibility for non-operational assets, including vacant units, void spaces, and commercial and residential sub-tenants.
- Review, challenge, and monitor service charge budgets, statements, and demands.
- Develop, maintain, and manage property database.
To be successful in this role:

- Demonstrated success in a comparable property or estates management role.
- Strong negotiation capability with a solid understanding of commercial lease structures.
- You must have commercial lease renewal experience.
