Quest Search & Selection is looking for a QA & Product Manager to oversee product quality, supplier compliance, and risk mitigation across general merchandise within the retail sector. This privately-owned business employs 1,500+ people across 70 UK locations and remains a leader in its field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead product quality management, ensuring UK regulatory compliance for all hardline/general merchandise/accessories products.
- Ensure processes stay up-to-date with UK laws.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring SEDEX compliance and timely resolution of audit issues.
- Source high-quality vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage rebates.
- Work with testing labs, audit houses, third-party partners, and suppliers.
- Oversee QA/QC policies, product quality issues, recalls, and returns.
- Maintain product compliance, manage test certificates, and ensure safety data sheets.
- Lead ethical and environmental audits, maintaining due diligence.
Key Requirements:
- 4-5+ years' experience in quality/compliance roles.
- Leadership experience managing a small team (2 reportees).
- Experience with external agencies, vendors, and contract management.
- Strong communication skills and knowledge of UK/EU testing requirements.
- Familiar with SEDEX systems and third-party audits.
- Detail-oriented and process-driven.
