Assistant Store Manager opportunity with a well-established premium lifestyle retailer that is opening a brand-new store in Spalding .
This is a unique opportunity to join the business ahead of the store opening and play a key role in launching the new location.
Working closely with the Store Manager, you will support all aspects of the opening process, including team onboarding, training, stock preparation, operational readiness, and creating an exceptional customer experience from day one.
Responsibilities of this Assistant Store Manager role
- Support the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the store.
- Lead, motivate and develop the team to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Drive sales performance and support the achievement of store targets and KPIs.
- Manage daily operational activities, ensuring high standards across all areas of the business.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members ahead of the store opening.
- Monitor stock availability, inventory accuracy and stock movement processes.
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained in line with brand guidelines.
- Act as a key holder and take responsibility for opening and closing procedures.
- Coach and develop colleagues to maximise individual and team performance.
- Create a positive and engaging store environment for both customers and employees.
To be successful in this Assistant Store Manager role
- Previous experience in a retail leadership position such as Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, Supervisor, Key Holder, Team Leader or Senior Sales Advisor.
- Strong retail operational experience, ideally within an outlet, fashion, lifestyle, gifting, accessories or premium retail environment.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams within a fast-paced retail setting.
- Commercially aware with a good understanding of sales performance and retail KPIs.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
- Strong communication, coaching and people management skills.
- Organised, adaptable and confident working within a new store opening environment.
