Exciting opportunity with a growing business to join their successful team as a Transport Planner. Our client, a leading airfreight transport company based in Hounslow, is expanding their Transport team and are looking for day and night planners to cover 4 on 4 off shifts.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand the role of the UK Transport team.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with our customers, putting their best interest at the forefront of everything we do, delivering consistently high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Plan workloads to ensure all targets are planned, met, and exceeded consistently.
- Provide reports to relevant departments within the business.
- Ensure legislative compliance in all areas.
- Ensure that the company operates within all agreed operational procedures and within statutory requirements, including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment.
- Identify possible savings and improvements for the department and support their implementation.
- Other general administrative duties that the management may reasonably request.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous knowledge of transport planning.
- Previous experience of working in a busy transport operation.
- Knowledge of Air and Road Logistics.
- Good communication skills – written and verbal.
- Experience working in a busy office environment.
- A good level of IT literacy.
- Adaptable and able to think on your feet.
- Ability to work under pressure.
