About the job
Purpose: Assisting in our Corporate Department and reporting to the Audit Manager, the Senior will conduct company audits from planning through to completion.
Main Responsibilities:
- Working on audits as the audit senior.
- Site visits at client's premises and to supervise and support junior members on-site visits.
- Supervising and signing off the work of junior members of the audit team, reporting to the audit manager.
- Planning the audit process, research, review current processes and providing recommendations to enhance the client's policies and procedures.
- Preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations for non-audit SMEs.
- Reporting directly to the manager or partner as required.
Skills Required:
- Qualified or part-qualified ACA or ACCA with at least 2-3 years of audit experience.
- Knowledge of audit and accounting standards, in particular the requirements of FRS102, FRS 105 and the Companies Act 2006.
- Some knowledge of corporation tax desirable.
- Knowledge of income tax desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of charities desirable.
- IT skills including basic knowledge of Excel, Word.
