Quest Precision Engineering Ltd is looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Quality Inspector / CMM Inspector to join our precision engineering team.
We specialise in high-quality CNC machining and the manufacture of precision-engineered components, primarily serving the oil and gas industry.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all manufactured components meet our customers' exacting quality standards along with organising the Quality team.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of Quality workload with regards first off inspections, in process inspections and patrol inspection,
- Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections of precision CNC-machined components.
- Operate and programme Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Use precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, height gauges and other inspection instruments.
- Prepare and maintain accurate inspection reports and quality documentation.
- Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), where required.
- Identify, record and report non-conforming products.
- Work closely with CNC machinists, programmers and the quality team to resolve dimensional or quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality management requirements and customer specifications.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing process.
