Overview of the role
As Merchandising Assistant, you will be supporting our New Product Development team to manage the administration of our new samples. You will work with both our sales teams and our customers to ensure our new products are correctly administered, liaising with our factory in China, processing sample briefs and orders, completing new product line forms for customers and ensuring our sales teams have all our new samples for presentations.
As our ideal candidate, you will be a highly organised and proactive administrator, calm and unflappable while working on multiple projects at any one time. EXCEL skills are essential and experience of SAP would be ideal. However, more important is having excellent data input skills, an exceptional eye for detail, and being meticulous and thorough.
Principal Accountabilities
- Managing sample requests, including all paperwork and recording of stock movements.
- Completing customer new line forms.
- Completing monthly picture price lists for sales.
- Supporting the merchandisers in preparing factory briefs for sourcing.
- Setting up new items on SAP and making necessary updates to product information during the project.
- Setting up specification sheets and purchasing forms.
- Supporting the merchandisers in the preparation of pre-production samples for review and taking ownership of the organisation, storage and archiving of samples.
- Assisting Merchandisers in any required ad hoc tasks.
Skill Set Requirements
- Any experience in merchandising administration role would be ideal as would experience in FMCG environment, but full training will be given to a first class Administrator/Coordinator with experience of managing multiple projects.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once working to tight deadlines, strong time management skills.
- Independent and proactive.
- Enthusiastic and energetic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
