Brief outline of the role: We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Joinery Project Manager to join our expanding team and take ownership of allocated projects throughout preconstruction, construction and post-construction. The ideal candidate should have a background in joinery / carpentry and possess a good understanding of the industry.

Key duties:

  • Manage projects of varying sizes; this may be one project or several smaller projects simultaneously.
  • Run projects from design, procurement and through all stages of construction.
  • Preparing, agreeing, and working to programme.
  • Implementation of the programme and ensuring design, material and labour are fully resourced.
  • Undertaking preconstruction surveys.
  • Producing and managing detailed design information to enable manufacture.
  • Assisting with project budget development for the cost plan, and monitoring this as the project moves through its stages.
  • Managing project delivery teams.
  • Managing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Delivering works to an exceptional standard and level of quality.
  • Delivering continual improvement in H&S.

Key skills:

  • Should have an in-depth knowledge of the joinery / fit-out industry and a good understanding of materials and finishes.
  • Experience of the construction management processes, means and methods.
  • Have the ability to create project plans and budgets and to deliver results within their parameters.
  • Skilled at leading and developing a team.
  • A strong team-player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible working attitude with a positive and engaging approach.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literate.

Qualifications:

  • A levels / Higher education - preferred
  • SSSTS / SMSTS – H&S training - preferred
  • CSCS card - Essential
