Role Summary
The Systems Lead Engineer supports the development, adaptation, and integration of system designs across conventional island systems such as water, wastewater, chemicals, auxiliary steam, gases, HVAC, fire protection, and utilities.
The role ensures system delivery meets quality, safety, regulatory, and governance requirements within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery of system design, analysis, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation for assigned systems.
- Integration of system designs with multidisciplinary engineering inputs, ensuring alignment with project requirements and engineering standards.
- Review, acceptance, and integration of deliverables from engineering partners and suppliers.
- Identification and management of technical risks, issues, assumptions, and opportunities.
- Coordination of system interfaces to ensure seamless integration across disciplines.
- Support to regulatory, environmental, safety, and assurance activities.
- Application of configuration management and design change processes throughout the engineering lifecycle.
- Delivery of work packages to agreed quality, cost, and schedule.
- Collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, contractors, and engineering partners.
- Contribution to continuous improvement, standardisation, and engineering efficiency.
- Technical maturation of systems from concept through detailed design.
