At Quest Global UK, we are looking for a Door Systems Engineer – Rail / Rolling Stock for one of our projects based in England, United Kingdom. This position offers remote working.

Work Experience

The Engineer would need to have sound experience in passenger door systems and therefore, an in-depth knowledge of:

  • All passenger door system components, from door control units (DCUs), door design, door controls, and other mechanical systems.
  • All passenger door system functions, such as trap and drag, sensitive edge, selective door opening, etc.
  • Retractable steps and their interface with the passenger door system.
  • Interface of the passenger door system with other key systems, such as traction, train control / SDO, emergency door release/brakes.
  • Systems engineering approach, familiar with working in DOORS, managing requirements, writing SRDs, System Functional documents and test specifications.
  • Laws and Standards associated with passenger door systems.
