You must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) and Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearances for this role. As a Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) Engineer, you will be supporting the supportability MTA activity for complex maritime systems, specifically UK Defence submarines. You will work as part of an extended team for the customer to ensure that the submarine’s systems can be maintained efficiently, safely, and with the correct resources. You will be working across several stakeholders and functions, taking raw engineering data and transforming it into the structured maintenance logic that will feed S1000D Technical Publications and Spares Provisioning teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Risk: Escalation and recording of Risks to ensure mitigating actions are captured in the ILS Risk Register.
- Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA): Conduct detailed "Bottom-Up" analysis of systems to define every preventative and corrective maintenance task required.
- Task Step Breakdown: Develop logical, step‑by‑step procedures for the removal, installation, and repair of components to enable the production of Maintenance Task Instructions (MTI) outputs.
