Job Summary
To provide project scheduler services in support of the Project Managers on multiple cross-functional engineering projects. This will include progress reporting, preparing schedule updates, forecast to complete, variance identification and opportunities for improvement for Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid projects.
Job Requirements
Due to the Defence nature of the work, applicants must be UK sole nationality and able to work 100% in office in Bristol at the OEM customer site. This is 12-month contract, outside IR35.
Accountabilities
- Will be involved in the development and refinement of the OPC (Oracle Primavera Cloud) schedule, reflecting all interface milestones and activity durations.
- Will then take on responsible for the day-to-day update, management and reporting. This needs demonstratable experience using Power BI and OPC/Primavera P6 reports.
- Ensuring project controls processes are consistently applied across the project.
- Advice on the application of effective planning techniques and controls, i.e. cost and schedule variance, estimates at completion, critical path analysis, Agile ceremonies.
- Baseline schedule development, performance status and reporting, baseline change control, risk management, earned value and Agile ceremonies for tracking progress.
- Programme integration, governance and project controls best practices.

- Weekly/monthly reports in line with the project and company reporting calendar, providing details on progress, actuals, forecast and explanation of variances.
- Monitor compliance in respect of contractual obligations.
- Maintenance of project management artefacts, such as risk and cost reports.
Competency Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Effective communication within team and with stakeholders.
- Experienced user of the relevant project management tools (OPC/P6) and techniques.
- Experience in the implementation of Agile methods/ceremonies and Waterfall based Project Control systems, in accordance with relevant national standards.
- Practical ability to utilise critical project management concepts, i.e. EVM, costed WBS, project planning, risk analysis, configuration management.
- Computer literate & experienced in Microsoft Office applications.
Qualifications and experience
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Significant track record of successful work.
- APMP - Certified Project Management Associate or similar would be an advantage.
