We are looking to expand our Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture capability in all levels of experience and are keen to hear from you if you feel you’re ready to take the next step in your career. You must be a Sole UK National and qualify for Security Clearance.
Work Experience- Work transparently with various engineering discipline leads/teams to provide clear and concise reports and information regarding progress and management of Risk and Opportunities in relation to the Engineering activities.
- Bring learnings and operational best practices from other engagements.
- Undertake technical and feasibility studies and site investigations.
- Develop detailed requirement specifications.
- Support projects as they evolve through the project engineering lifecycles.
- Assess the potential risks of specific projects, as well as undertake risk management in specialist roles.
- Communicate and liaise effectively with a wide set of project stakeholders.
- Support governance meetings.
- Think both creatively and logically to resolve design and development problems.
- Be adaptable, as project requirements evolve, and ensure relevant parties are notified of changes in the project.
- Compile and peer review project and technical reports.
- Design and implement cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety and reliability.
- Ship stability and weight allocations.
- Servicing and operations for a dockyard environment.
- Marine classification system.
- Mooring and towing.
- Ship systems and marine structures.
- Develop, test and evaluate theoretical designs.
- Recommend modifications following prototype test results.
- Use research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly those in mathematical modelling and computer-aided design.
- Consider the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints.
- Good Communication skills - Makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens effectively; clarifies information as needed.
- Ability to handle discussions/communications independently.
