As a MRP Controller, you will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling material requirements to ensure uninterrupted production while maintaining optimal inventory levels. This role works closely with production, procurement, and logistics to align supply with demand.
Key Responsibilities- Run and maintain the MRP (SAP) system to generate accurate material plans, including initial support with backlog of unauthorised components.
- Convert clean planned orders into production orders within relevant opening periods.
- Expedite incoming material to ensure on-time order conversion and communicate risks or potential delays.
- Roll out and manage MRP exception reports.
- Gather information about requirements, objectives, and constraints to develop and report relevant KPIs within the scheduling function.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, particularly MRP Schedulers and Project Management teams.
- Continuously evaluate processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance efficiencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, operations, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in MRP, material planning, or supply chain.
- Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Solid understanding of inventory management and production planning.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments; knowledge of lean manufacturing principles; APICS/CPIM certification; multi-level BOM experience.
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills.
- Good written and verbal communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
