At Quest Global we are looking for LV Schematic Engineer (SME) to join one of our Energy customer team based at Staffordshire, United Kingdom

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.

Proven experience (8-12 years) in designing, developing, and implementing low voltage secondary systems for power distribution applications.

Proficiency in Engineering Base so ware for creating engineering drawings and schematic.

Electrical Schematics Engineer -Electrical Control & Protec on Cubicle Designer & Low voltage Secondary Schematics & wiring drawings Designer.

Proficient in using Engineering Base

Strong understanding of electrical principles, power distribution fundamentals, and low voltage equipment.

Experience with protective relay coordination, arc flash analysis, and fault current calculations.

Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes such as IEC, NEC, IEEE, and NEMA.

Project management skills and the ability to priori ze tasks to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities:

The role involves designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of electrical control and protection cubicles for various industrial applications.

This position requires se in both conceptualizing the cubicle design and detailing its specifications using Engineering Base so ware.

Designing low voltage secondary systems for power distribution projects, including transformers, switchgear, Marshalling, distribution Board Control & Protec on panels

Utilize Engineering Base so ware to design electrical control and protection cubicles based on project requirements and specifications.

Develop general arrangement drawings (GA) and layout designs for cubicles ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Collaborate with electrical engineers and project managers to understand project goals and integrate technical requirements into the cubicle design.

Conduct feasibility studies and propose design solutions that optimize space, functionality, and operational efficiency.

Ensure designs adhere to safety standards, electrical codes, and regulatory requirements.

Prepare bills of materials (BOM) and technical documenta on for cubicle designs.

Clear understanding on the different Electrical component & its usage to utilize in the schema cs

Well aware of the latest Electrical materials in the market to utilize & optimize the design

Support the manufacturing and installation teams during the production and assembly phases.

Review and evaluate vendor proposals and technical submissions related to cubicle components.
