Quest Global are responsible for the design, specification and configuration of aerospace projects in the UK and worldwide. This vacancy is for a S4/HANA Parts Configuration Specialist to aid with OEM customer business system database alignments through the identification and correction of parts metadata errors and omissions. The vacancy is a 6-month Outside IR35 temporary contract located in Heybridge, Nr. Maldon, Essex, UK. Hybrid working is available, with a minimum of 3 days per week on-site in Heybridge.
During the integration of UK and EU business units, Engineering configuration information for parts has not been successfully transitioned into the S4/HANA MRP system. Furthermore, there continue to be issues with new configuration data being translated into S4/HANA. The role is to ensure that the Purchasing team can procure components required in Heybridge on S4/HANA, hence it is imperative that required parts are accurately specified and sourced, whilst maintaining traceability.
Roles And Responsibilities- Liaise with Engineering and Procurement departments to clearly define the issues
- Develop a priority (Pareto) of the parts to be corrected on S4/HANA
- Develop and present to management a plan to implement a resolution
- Implement the resolution to allow 90% of required parts to have sufficient configuration on S4/HANA allowing Procurement to source from the supply chain
- Proven experience as a Material Controller or in a similar role
- Strong proficiency in S4/HANA
- Experience with identifying and correcting Parts database errors
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Candidates are required to be computer literate in MS Office applications e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Internet browsers. MS Teams experience would also be useful.
Desired Characteristics & Accreditations- Experience with Supply Chain IT tools and concepts e.g. ERP / MRP, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement JIT, Six sigma, 5S

Enhanced BPSS background checks will be carried out for the successful candidate, who must be resident in the UK on application for this role. With the exception of US passport holders, non-UK nationalities are eligible to apply.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Studies, Engineering or Science or equivalent experience in manufacturing/aerospace industry.
