Component Engineer, Mechanical- Design & Stress

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design efforts for complete Gas Turbine engines and individual subsystems.
- Develop and validate 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and design documentation.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross‑functional teams, including Stress & Thermal Analysis, Manufacturing Engineering, and Material Science, to ensure design feasibility, durability, process compatibility, and material selection.
- Drive design‑to‑cost initiatives—analyze and assess component and system‑level cost structures to ensure economic viability.
- Guide design reviews and technical decision‑making with clarity and precision.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of design excellence and continuous learning.
- Design hollow turbine blades, NGV, and analyze Fir‑Tree designs.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders, including leadership teams.
- Ensure thorough documentation and compliance with engineering policies, export control, and IP standards.
- Promote open communication and knowledge sharing across teams to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in Gas Turbine design with hands‑on exposure to full engine and component‑level development.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as Siemens NX, CATIA, or Creo.
- Demonstrated experience working within integrated product teams.
- Understanding of manufacturability and material application.
- Experience in cost modelling (highly desirable).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
