Overview
In this role you will lead engineering change and modifications for new rolling stock fleets, focusing on electrical systems and re-fits. You will collaborate with depot teams to implement approved modifications, review safety justifications, and update maintenance instructions. The position involves assessing impact on reliability, maintainability, and safety, and supporting software updates and field maintenance activities. You will work within a cross-functional environment to ensure conformance with rail standards and customer requirements. This opportunity offers hands-on impact on complex rolling stock projects within a safety-critical, international context.

Responsibilities
- Review approved modification for safety assurance and implementation
- Assist with modification evaluation, engineering change and change request with central engineering team
- Support modification implementation at the depot level
- Write and modify vehicle maintenance instructions, service, and technical bulletins
- Analyse impact of modifications on reliability, maintainability, and safety on the rolling stock
- Support rolling stock software updates and upgrades
- Manage internal and external stakeholder meetings to coordinate modification and engineering change requests
Key requirements
- Minimum of HND (qualification)
- Experience as Rolling Stock Project Engineer
- Experience on Overhauls & Refurbishment Projects
- Electrical bias background
- 37.5 hour week with flexible & agile working
- 3–5 years of experience with rolling stock modification
- Attention to detail
