Quest Global are responsible for the design, specification and control of gas turbine projects in the UK and worldwide. This vacancy is for a Power BI Developer to aid with OEM customer business system improvement through the creation and development of Power BI Dashboards. The vacancy is a 12-month Outside IR35 Full-Time contract located in Bristol, UK. Hybrid working (max. 1 or 2 days/week at home) and flexible working patterns are available. Enhanced BPSS background checks will be carried out for the successful candidate, who must be UK sole nationality to apply for this role, due to MOD restrictions. Non-UK nationalities are not eligible to apply.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Create data models and establish connections to various data sources.
- Optimize Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability and performance.
- Implement data security and access controls within Power BI.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports and data sources.
- Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices.
Required Skills (Technical Competencies)
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.
- Experience with SQL and data modelling.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Candidates are required to be computer literate in MS Office applications e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Internet browsers. MS Teams experience would also be useful.

- Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView).
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.

- Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems.
