Overview
In this role you will provide manufacturing engineering solutions to prevent non-conformance through process control and error-proofing within BiQ, while supporting customers to resolve technical problems. You will drive improvements across manufacturing processes, equipment, and product quality, collaborating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and experts. You will apply PFMEA and control plans, interpret GD&T, and integrate BiQ tools with DFM/DFMEA to ensure robust process validation. Responsibilities
- Implement process controls to prevent defects and detect non-conformance early
- Provide engineering support to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems for customers
- Drive improvements across products, equipment, and manufacturing quality
- Create and manage PFMEA, control plans, and inspection strategies
- Conduct supplier audits and support process standardization and waste elimination
- Analyze shop-floor data (RFT, RAG charts, six sigma analyses) to propose improvements
- Interpret GD&T from model-based definitions and legacy drawings
- Review and approve fairs and PPAP as part of validation
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing processes are understood
Key requirements
- Graduate in Mechanical (degree/diploma) or equivalent experience
- Background in Quality Management Systems
- Aerospace manufacturing and improvement experience
- Experience with PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, AS9100/ISO standards
