The function is seeking experienced systems engineers (Left hand side) with a sound understanding of the development lifecycle and product lifecycle (Breathe of knowledge within the complete V lifecycle).
Engineers will be able demonstrate:
This role within Customer would be delivered by a Senior Engineer about to converge on Principle or a Principle Engineer. A trusted Engineer. Self-driven, able to work alone or as a team without the need for coaching / mentoring.
Accountable for self, proactive, collaborative and able to communicate effectively.
The Engineers will be given work packages to pick up & deliver for the projects they will be assigned too.
The Engineers will be deployed within projects / teams.
The Engineer will be producing Artefacts in relation to their work.
Work packages will consist of reviewing customer User Requirements Documents (URD) &:
o Creating baselines, version controlling baselines.
o Reviewing change requests and communicating impact
o Hardware, Software and or Systems of Systems
o The Engineer will be able to identify, propose and achieve solution buy off for URD requirements.
o Create solutions individually or take accountability in leading teams to create system solutions.
o Will be experienced and proven in the derivation of requirements.
o Manage requirements through DOORS.
The Engineer must meet the below requirements:
(1) Security requirements.
(2) Site requirements.
(3) Demonstrable Experience, able to derive requirements from URD’s in to sub system allocation.
(4) Possess submarine domain experience (even better if SONAR) / Defence Maritime experience.
(5) Have full breathe and knowledge within the complete V lifecycle.
(6) DOORS experience or equivalent.
(7) Be self-sufficient and self-starter able to lead small teams.
