Role Title: MBSE Architect and Deployment Lead

Location: Derby

Reporting to: Program Manager

The Project: Our customer is a multi-national defence organisation currently digitalising and transforming engineering processes across their product lifecycle. The transformation includes Digital Twin technology, requiring enabling technologies and processes from requirements to retirement. The project aims to evaluate current processes, develop digital solutions, and support deployment into projects.

Role Overview: As an MBSE Architect, you will develop and implement Model-Based Systems Engineering strategies for complex systems, requiring deep understanding of multi-domain product development and Systems Engineering. Experience in MBSE and organization-wide deployment is mandatory, along with the ability to document processes clearly. Certification from INCOSE is preferred. Your role involves defining MBSE strategies across domains, aligning architecture with enterprise goals, and translating complex concepts into understandable language. Organizational skills and experience with agile methodologies are essential. Mentoring in MBSE is desired to drive transformation.

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

• Experience in MBSE architecture definition and deployment across organizations, familiar with multiple tools and languages.
• Knowledge of architecture modeling notations.
• Experience in engineering domains such as mechanical, electronics, software within automotive, aerospace, or defense sectors.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for teamwork and documentation, capable of simplifying complex concepts.
• Leadership skills to guide discussions and drive MBSE initiatives.

Desired Skills:

• Experience across the full product lifecycle from requirements to retirement.
• A Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields is preferred.
• Extensive experience with agile methodologies in digital transformation projects.
• Strong project management skills to handle multiple tasks.
• INCOSE Certification.
