Role Title: Enterprise Architect
Location: Derby
Reporting to: Program Manager
The Project
Our customer is a multi-national defence organisation currently in the process of digitalising and transforming the engineering processes across their product life cycle. The transformation shall extend into Digital Twin, therefore needing all the enabling technologies and processes commencing from requirements through to retirement. The project is envisaged as the transformer β evaluating current processes, developing digital processes and tools to enable the transformation. Apart from the development, the project would support deploying the processes into projects.
Role Overview:
As an Enterprise Architect, you will be a member of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) team playing a pivotal role in developing the roadmap for and in the implementation of digitalisation of product design, delivery, and support through its life cycle. You would work closely with the Enterprise IT, the Digital Engineering and domain teams to harmonise architecture at various levels. Also communicate with the domains and work to align the digital capabilities with EA.
This role requires a good understanding of IT tools and policies. Experience in a product design (design-manufacture or design-integrate) organisation in a similar role would be an advantage. Proficiency in Enterprise Architecture modelling frameworks such as TOGAF, NAF and modelling notations like ArchiMate and BPMN skills are a requirement. Ideally you would hold certification on TOGAF or other frameworks. Additionally, your ability to translate complex concepts into understandable language for team members is crucial, along with your organisational skills and experience in agile methodologies. Experience in mentoring on EA would be a desired attribute in this role and critical to delivering the transformation.

Engineering Foundation/Experience:
- Experience in/Exposure to engineering organisations (mechanical, electronics, software) in automotive, aerospace, other defence domains as an Enterprise Architect would be an advantage

Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and documentation, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple understandable language.
Leadership:
- Ability to develop and lead conversations in both formal and informal customer settings to drive thoughts and solutions around EA and other topics related to solution development and deployment.
