- Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in an engineering discipline that is either Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics Engineering, Controls Engineering or Computer and electronics engineering.
- Controls Theory background and experience.
- Excellent design capability and experience in the engineering discipline of electrical and Power System.
- Software development and software project delivery processes.
- Minimum 2 years' experience within the Electrical Industry or in a similar role.
- Experience as a lead technical software engineer or equivalent senior engineering role.
- Test Driven Design techniques (CI/Continuous Integration, Unit, automated regression, Kits, integration and software in the loop testing).
- Model-Based Design techniques (Matlab-Simulink).
- Experience in C programming (advantageous).
- Conceptual understanding of full stack of software and in-depth experience in more than one area (firmware, middleware, control algorithm).
- Knowledge and experience in HVDC systems.
Job Description:
- Adhere to the delivery & quality processes and guidelines.
- Implement the full software life cycle (requirements, design, test specifications, implementation, unit and integration testing).
- Formal and informal engineering documentation to be created and maintained for all deliverables of the development lifecycle.
- Implement the software designs in Matlab/Simulink or C (project dependent).
- Perform unit and integration testing.
- Support IST testing.
- Conduct root cause analysis on all defects.
- Lead project software engineers to deliver software design, implementation unit testing and kit testing.
- Lead project software engineers to deal with and deliver change requests, bugs and site issues.
- Coordinate with project manager the project tasks, customer delivery and issue from software design gate review till completion and delivery of the project.
- Technically support all projects’ software team, review work.
- Support Validation team with all software deliverables, with a responsibility of determining.
