Key Responsibilities:
- The ability to plan and execute tasks to achieve timescales and costs in conjunction with designated KPIs.
- The ability to own problems and provide pragmatic engineering solutions to challenging timescales and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative design solutions that meet customer requirements and project objectives.
- Attend PDR, DDR reviews to provide detailed reports.
- Generate detailed technical reports and documentation to communicate analysis results and recommendations.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise to support development and improvement.
- Conduct thorough analysis and investigations of non-conformance issues, including root cause analysis and failure mode analysis.
- Monitor and track the progress of corrective actions, ensuring timely completion and effectiveness.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve non-conformance issues and improve overall product quality.
- Maintain accurate documentation of non-conformance reports, investigations, and corrective actions.

Required Skills (Technical Competency):
- Proficient in Stress Analysis packages (e.g., ANSYS, MSC NASTRAN, Altair HyperMesh), ideally ANSYS.
- Experience in the analysis of complex engineering structures.
- Expert knowledge in conventional (hand calculation) techniques for static analysis.
- Proficient knowledge of numerical (finite element) techniques for static analysis.
- Experience in structural analysis of mechanical components, parts, assemblies, and subassemblies for heavy industry, power transmission systems, gears, and gearboxes.
- Candidate should be familiar with structural analysis practices and methodologies, including significant structural redesigns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the Aerospace and Defence industry.
- Experience in heavy engineering industry, power transmission systems, gears, and gearboxes.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
