The Test Development Engineer needs to validate requirements and verify product features in the control and protection system for VSC and LCC schemes.
Dynamic and proactive with ability to work on own or as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team to resolve technical issues.
You will play a key role in the product test cycle and collaborate as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team. The role is accountable for business-critical development to meet product requirements and timelines for future commercial HVDC projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Specifying, designing, implementing, optimizing, and documenting bench and system level tests.
- Conducting verification and validation testing to ensure designs meet performance and reliability requirements.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Applying best engineering standards and developing practices to ensure tests comply with relevant health & safety and international standards.
We are looking for a committed and professional individual with:
- A relevant degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, or significant experience in an electrical engineering environment.
- Ability to translate high level design requirements into efficient and robust test implementations.
