Yard Manager

Yard Manager – Manufacturing Peterborough £45,000 per annum Monday to Friday | Permanent | Site based The Role This is a hands-on role for someone who likes things organised, safe and running properly with a Manufacturing background! You'll be responsible for 3–4 yard areas , making sure products and materials are stored correctly, movements are controlled and the wider manufacturing operation has what it needs, when it needs it. You'll manage a team of around 4 Yard Operatives , with that team expected to grow. This is not a desk job. You'll be out in the yards, on your feet, managing people, coordinating product movements and working closely with Production, Operations and Logistics. What You'll Be Doing Taking ownership of 3–4 yard areas Managing and developing a small Yard Operative team Coordinating product and material movements Keeping yards safe, organised and efficient Managing stock locations and supporting stock checks Overseeing loading and unloading activity Working closely with Production, Operations and Logistics Spotting issues before they become problems Improving yard layout, housekeeping and processes Operating a Counterbalance FLT where required What You'll Need You must have experience within manufacturing or production.
