ASAP START!

If you like a role where you’re busy, moving around and actually getting stuck in - but you’re also pretty handy when it comes to systems, paperwork and keeping things organised - this could be a really good fit.

This is not an office-based admin role.

You’ll be working on the warehouse shopfloor, physically handling returned products, checking what has come back, making sure everything is recorded correctly and completing the administration that goes alongside it.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for helping manage the returns process from the moment products arrive back into the warehouse.

Some of your day will involve physically handling, checking and moving stock. The rest will involve updating systems, recording information and making sure each return is processed correctly.

It’s a role for someone who doesn’t mind rolling their sleeves up but is equally comfortable sitting down at a computer and getting the details right.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Receiving and physically handling returned goods.
  • Checking returned products against the relevant paperwork and system information.
  • Inspecting items and identifying any damage, discrepancies or issues.
  • Sorting and processing returns correctly.
  • Updating internal systems with accurate information.
  • Completing the administration and paperwork associated with each return.
  • Moving and organising stock within the returns area.
  • Liaising with colleagues where there are discrepancies or further information is needed.
  • Making sure returns are processed accurately and within the required timescales.
  • Keeping the returns area organised, safe and tidy.
  • Following warehouse and health & safety procedures.

What You’ll Need

  • You’ll be comfortable working in a hands-on warehouse environment.
  • You’ll be happy carrying out manual handling/Heavy lifting as part of your normal working day.
  • You’ll have good attention to detail and notice when something doesn’t quite add up.
  • You’ll be comfortable using computers and updating systems.
  • You’ll be able to follow a process without cutting corners.
  • You’ll be organised enough to manage both physical stock and the paperwork behind it.
  • You’ll communicate well with the people around you.
  • Previous warehouse, returns, stock control or administration experience would be useful.
  • Most importantly, you need to be someone who understands that getting the physical return right is only half the job - the system needs to be right too.

What You Might Not Like

Let’s get this bit out of the way.

If you’re looking for a traditional administration role where you’ll be sitting at a desk for most of the day, this isn’t it.

You will be based on the warehouse shopfloor. There is manual handling involved, you’ll be dealing with physical products and you’ll be on your feet for a good part of the day.

Equally, if paperwork and computer systems make you want to quietly disappear behind a pallet, this probably isn’t for you either.

This role genuinely needs someone who is comfortable doing both.
