We're looking for an experienced MHE Trainer who still enjoys being part of the operation. This is a hands-on role where you'll split your time between delivering high-quality MHE training and getting stuck into the warehouse alongside the rest of the team. You'll be the person people look to for advice, coaching and best practice, while also helping the operation hit its daily targets. If you believe the best trainers lead by example, enjoy being out on the warehouse floor and genuinely care about developing others, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

Reporting into the Warehouse Operations Manager and working closely with Health & Safety, you'll be responsible for ensuring all MHE operators are trained, assessed and working safely. When you're not delivering training, you'll be a key member of the warehouse team, operating MHE, supporting inbound and outbound operations and helping the site deliver against demanding customer deadlines. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, wants to remain operational and takes pride in helping others become safer and more confident operators.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Delivering MHE training, assessments and refresher courses across the site.
  • Training operators on Counterbalance, Reach Truck, PPT, LLOP and other site equipment.
  • Carrying out competency assessments and maintaining accurate training records.
  • Supporting new starters, refresher training and remedial coaching where required.
  • Working closely with Health & Safety to promote a strong safety culture across the warehouse.
  • Supporting accident and near-miss investigations where MHE is involved.
  • Identifying training needs and recommending improvements.
  • Operating MHE equipment during non-training hours to support warehouse throughput.
  • Picking, packing, loading, unloading and moving stock safely and efficiently.
  • Assisting with stock counts, housekeeping and general warehouse duties.
  • Leading by example and challenging unsafe behaviours where necessary.

About You

You're someone people naturally listen to. Not because you've got a title, but because you've earned respect through your experience, professionalism and willingness to get involved. You'll probably have:

  • An accredited MHE Trainer qualification (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT or equivalent).
  • Experience delivering MHE training and operator assessments.
  • A strong background working within warehouse operations.
  • Experience operating a range of MHE equipment including Counterbalance, Reach Truck, PPT and LLOP.
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills.
  • A genuine passion for developing people and improving safety standards.
  • A flexible, hands-on approach and the willingness to support the operation wherever needed.

Experience within a fast-paced warehouse or logistics environment would be highly advantageous.

Why Apply?

This isn't one of those training roles where you'll spend your days sat in a classroom. You'll remain a valued member of the warehouse operation, combining your training expertise with practical, day-to-day operational support. Every day is different, you'll work with a great team and you'll play a vital role in keeping the operation safe, compliant and performing at its best. If you're an experienced MHE Trainer who still enjoys getting your boots dirty and making a real difference on the warehouse floor, we'd love to hear from you.
