The role

If you are the sort of person who can keep customers calm, inboxes under control and delivery dramas from becoming full-blown soap operas, this could be right up your street. This is a busy, hands-on customer service and administration role where you will be the reassuring voice on the end of the phone, the organised mind behind the emails, and the person who knows where things are, where they are going and what to do when they decide not to cooperate. You will join a supportive office-based team and play a big part in keeping customers informed, systems updated and the whole operation running far more smoothly than most people will ever realise.

What you will be doing

  • Answering calls and emails from business customers with professionalism, patience and the occasional silent eye-roll reserved for your internal monologue only
  • Providing clear, accurate updates on deliveries, shipments and anything else customers need to know
  • Checking delivery statuses and liaising with courier partners when things are on track, delayed or mysteriously somewhere in between
  • Resolving queries and problems quickly, calmly and without adding to the chaos
  • Preparing quotations for international shipments and making sure the details are spot on
  • Keeping internal systems and records up to date, because good admin is the secret engine behind good service
  • Supporting the wider team with general administrative tasks and helping keep the office wheels turning

What we need

We are looking for someone who is switched on, dependable and genuinely good with people. Ideally, you will bring:

  • Previous experience in customer service, administration, or a role where juggling competing priorities was all part of the fun
  • A confident and professional phone manner
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach when problems pop up
  • Solid IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A sharp eye for detail and a respect for getting things right first time
  • Reliability, good attendance and the ability to work well independently or as part of a team

What you might not like

It is fully office-based, so if your dream job involves fluffy slippers and working from the sofa, this may not be the one. Some days will be busy, priorities will shift, and not every delivery will behave itself. This role suits people who like structure, accuracy and getting stuck in, not those hoping to hide quietly in the background.

If you are organised, customer-focused and ready to be the person who keeps everything moving when everyone else is still looking for the missing update, we would love to hear from you. Apply now and show us what you can bring to the team.
