Quest Employment are recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to work for our client in the DE74 area. Successful candidates will be responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient execution of day-to-day warehouse activities to support operational performance and customer service.

Shift Pattern: Sunday - Thursday 2pm-10pm

Pay Rate: £13.98 - 2pm-8pm, £16.99 - 8pm-10pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate MHE equipment safely and in line with training, certification, and site procedures.
  • Complete daily equipment checks and report any defects or safety concerns.
  • Follow all health and safety requirements, including PPE and working-at-height procedures.
  • Safely operate HLOP equipment and use harness systems when working at height.
  • Move, replenish, retrieve, and store stock accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure stock is correctly located and recorded within warehouse systems.
  • Support warehouse activities such as picking, packing, loading, unloading, and general stock handling when required.
  • Work flexibly between MHE and non-MHE duties to meet operational needs.
  • Maintain high levels of productivity, quality, and accuracy.
  • Report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, or process issues.
  • Work closely with colleagues and supervisors, communicating clearly and effectively.
  • Promote a positive, safety-focused team environment.
  • Contribute ideas and support initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, and ways of working.

Requirements:

  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Accredited MHE licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent) or willingness to be trained.
  • Experience operating MHE and working in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Multi-skilled MHE experience across different truck types is an advantage.
  • Experience working at height (HLOP) and using harness systems safely.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
  • Good attention to detail and spatial awareness.
  • Experience using WMS/RF systems and an understanding of warehouse operations and stock control.
  • Clear communication skills and a team-focused approach.
  • Reliable, flexible, proactive, and able to work across different tasks.
  • Ability to support, coach, or guide other operators is beneficial.
