40 hours per week (Full-time) We are recruiting a Chef to join our team to assist in running the kitchen operation in a residential care home. Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and serve breakfast, lunch, and supper according to menu specifications and order sheets.
Prepare baked items for the coffee shop and cater private dining requests as needed.
Supervise Kitchen Assistants and Hosts, ensuring food safety and kitchen hygiene standards are met.
Complete daily, weekly, and monthly due diligence records and assist with stock ordering.
Ensure compliance with COSHH, health and safety, and food hygiene regulations.
Cover for the Chef Manager during periods of absence.
Requirements
Relevant experience in a catering environment, ideally within elderly care.
Working knowledge of Food Hygiene, COSHH, and Manual Handling.
Ability to work a 40-hour weekly rota and carry out physical tasks safely.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
