We're not looking for a Warehouse Team Leader who occasionally helps with stock.

We're looking for someone whose background is genuinely stock and inventory focused

Someone who understands stock integrity, lives and breathes inventory accuracy and knows their way around WMS systems, investigations and root cause analysis.

The hiring team are keen to find a specialist rather than a generalist, as this role is dedicated to protecting stock accuracy from day one.

You’ll lead a team of four Stock Controllers

, supporting and developing them while ensuring inventory accuracy remains at the highest possible standard across the warehouse.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Leading and motivating a team of Stock Controllers.
  • Managing daily cycle counts and stock audits.
  • Investigating stock discrepancies and carrying out root cause analysis.
  • Maintaining accurate stock records across WMS and ERP systems.
  • Producing stock reports and analysing inventory data.
  • Working closely with Warehouse, Goods In and Goods Out teams to resolve stock issues.
  • Driving continuous improvements to stock processes and warehouse accuracy.
  • Supporting audits and ensuring compliance across all stock activities.
  • Coaching and developing your team to deliver consistently high standards.

  • Inventory Controller looking for their first leadership role

You’ll also need

  • A strong stock control or inventory background
  • Experience investigating stock discrepancies.
  • Excellent knowledge of WMS and ideally ERP systems, understanding how they work together to maintain stock accuracy.
  • Experience leading or mentoring a small team.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence working independently and taking ownership of stock integrity, even when working across the warehouse.
  • Good Excel and reporting skills.

8am-4pm mid-shift). with flexibility to work across early and late shifts.
