We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious 5-star luxury hotel in Watford for an experienced and driven Events Sales Manager to join their successful events team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a sales-focused hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced luxury environment and enjoys building relationships, converting enquiries, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

The Role

As Events Sales Manager, you will be responsible for responding to enquiries and driving revenue through the sale of the hotel's impressive range of event spaces. From corporate conferences and private celebrations to weddings and exclusive events, you will play a key role in maximising sales opportunities and ensuring an outstanding client journey from enquiry through to confirmation.

Working within a supportive and high-performing team, you will manage multiple enquiries and events simultaneously while maintaining exceptional levels of customer service and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to event enquiries and convert opportunities into confirmed business.
  • Sell conference, meeting, wedding and private event packages.
  • Manage an active events diary and maximise occupancy and revenue opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Follow pricing strategies and sales guidelines to optimise conversion rates.
  • Liaise with operational departments to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Conduct venue show rounds and client meetings.
  • Maintain accurate event records and administration.
  • Work towards individual and team sales targets.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Event Sales, Meetings & Events Sales, or Hospitality Sales is essential.
  • Experience within a luxury hotel, resort, or high-end hospitality environment is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of converting enquiries and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confident working with both corporate and private clients.
  • Experience using Delphi or a similar events management system would be advantageous.
  • Professional, proactive and commercially focused approach.
